This is an incredible 2 piece Escada ensemble designed in the 1980's by Margaretha Ley. It has a chocolate brown wool/poly blend gently pleated skirt that wraps to close with a button on the side, and an attached belt that connects from the center front waistband to the beginning of the pleats in the back center angle on the left hip.
The yellow and brown textured silk leopard print blouse epitomizes the style of vintage Escada. It has is a flyaway panel piece that is asymmetrically cut that when tucked in covers the buttons. The beautiful collar can be worn up, or unbuttoned for small collar points that fold over each other. It has shoulder pads and a single breast pocket.
This outfit came from an estate of clothing we handled that included the best of the 1980's and many unique Escada pieces. We love this particular set and as usual, you can wear them together as an ensemble, or they both work well as separates!
The top and skirt are both labeled a size 34. We estimate the skirt to be a size 4, and the top an oversized 4 or 6.
